2025 Run of the Dead – 5K/10K Run-Walk Celebrates Día de los Muertos in Southwest Detroit, Nov. 1
The Southwest Detroit Business Association presents the 2025 “Run of the Dead” 5K/10K on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at George S. Patton Park Recreation Center. This Día de Los Muertos celebration honors loved ones and benefits COMPÁS, a youth performing arts program. The USATF-certified races begin at 9 a.m., guiding runners through historic cemeteries. Participants can enjoy vendors, live entertainment, and an ofrenda display. Registration is $55 for the 5K and $60 for the 10K ($75 day-of), with discounts for students and first responders.
