Book Launch: Designing for Local Communities

Join us Thursday, August 7 at 6pm for the launch of Designing for Local Communities by Meaghan Barry (CAA MFA 2D Design ’12), presented with AIGA Detroit and Design Core Detroit. Barry will be in conversation with Chioke McRae, President of AIGA Detroit, and Lyla Catellier, Curator of Public Programs at Cranbrook. Her book offers a practical guide for designers to build meaningful freelance practices by working with small businesses and nonprofits. Barry is an award-winning designer, educator, and Creative Director at Unsold Studio, whose work centers design as a tool for community impact. Free and open to all!
