Cranbrook Winter Solstice

Join Cranbrook Art Museum and Cranbrook Institute of Science for a full afternoon of creativity, music, and seasonal cheer. At the Art Museum, enjoy Scandinavian-inspired art-making, from creating a whimsical “Monster Wonderland” puppet to one-of-a-kind greeting card crafting, all set to the musical ensemble Swedish Folk. At the Institute of Science, discover a variety of making stations, including lanterns, suncatchers, Yule Log additions, solstice keepsakes, and more - with live medieval carols by the Roaring Wastrels. The festivities culminate at sunset with a glowing Lantern Parade, filling the longest night of the year with light and joy.
