FAN (Film Appreciation Night) is a free screening with a discussion to follow. Donations are always welcome, and concessions will be available. The HV MLK Day Committee presents Bad Axe, the critically acclaimed documentary filmed in Bad Axe, Michigan. This 2022 documentary, shortlisted for this year’s Academy Awards, focuses on the Asian-American family of director David Siev as they work to keep their Bad Axe, Michigan-located restaurant open and their American Dream alive throughout the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
