Martin Luther King Day of Service

Marathon Petroleum Corporation, the AmeriCorps Urban Safety Program, and State Rep. Tyrone Carter invite the community to a Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 9:30 AM–2 PM at the Kemeny Recreation Center. The event features food distribution, safety resources, youth activities, health and dental screenings, and giveaways including laptops, vacuums, air purifiers, and more. Attendees can access winter supplies, home safety items, hygiene kits, and auto‑theft prevention tools. Volunteers are also encouraged to help honor Dr. King’s legacy by assisting in building two wheelchair ramps for local residents.
