"Not Our Independence Day" Concert and Reading of Frederick Douglass' Speech

In the Tradition Jazz Ensemble will once again pay tribute to abolitionist Frederick Douglass' speech: "What to the Negro is the 4th of July?" The musical performance and program will run from1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature the reading of excerpts of Douglass' speech by community leaders. Patrons will be able to purchase food and beverages on site at "Emancipation Marketplace." Tickets may be purchased at Eventbrite and on-site the day of the event. There is no admission fee for children 12 and under.
