Redlining, Racism, and Segregation in Detroit Virtual Tour

From segregation and redlining to police brutality and the destruction of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) neighborhoods, systemic racism has been a part of Detroit's story since its founding. This virtual tour will provide an overview of some of the most devastating policies and events in Detroit’s last 100 years and give context to how this past continues to impact our region today. Attendees will also learn about local organizations fighting for racial justice and how to be a part of the solution moving forward.
