Sky Covington's Preservation of Jazz proudly presents a deeply moving tribute to the legendary saxophonist and spiritual jazz pioneer Pharaoh Sanders,This special evening features Detroit jazz luminaries Wendell Harrison and Pamela Wise Harrison, whose artistry and legacy embody the very spirit of the music Pharaoh Sanders championed—music rooted in freedom, healing, and transcendence. Also, performing Sky Covington and Man, just to name a few. Known for his groundbreaking work alongside John Coltrane and his own revolutionary recordings, Pharaoh Sanders reshaped jazz by infusing it with spirituality, African rhythms, and deep emotional expression.
