Aretha’s Jazz Café will come alive with The Jerome Clark Band leading a powerful tribute performance on Guitarist Grant Green. The night will open with the enchanting vocals of Sky Covington and be guided by the wit and charm of beloved host Mike Bonner. Grant Green (1935–1979) was a pioneering jazz guitarist whose unique sound combined blues, bebop, soul, and gospel influences. Born in St. Louis, Green rose to prominence in the 1960s Green rose to prominence in the 1960s through his work with Blue Note Records where he became one of the most recorded artists in the label’s history.
