Understanding GEM State Model for Dementia Care – Free Educational Event

Understanding dementia starts with understanding the person. On Thursday, March 26 at 6:30 p.m., Jewish Senior Life is hosting a free community event for an educational talk introducing Teepa Snow’s GEM States, a compassionate approach to understanding dementia-related behaviors. Attendees will learn what a GEM State is, why it matters, how GEM States explain stages of brain change, and how understanding GEM States leads to more positive interactions.
