Chamber Music at the Scarab Club presents Folias Duo and Hummel Trio
CMSC welcomes back the Folias Duo! Flutist Carmen Maret and guitarist Andrew Bergeron who form this trailblazing composer-performer ensemble, are known for blending classical music with jazz, world music, and improvisation. The duo will perform a new set of music that celebrates the landscapes and stories of the Great Lakes region.
The March 8th program will also feature violists John Madison and Joseph Deller, along with cellist Sarah Cleveland performing a string trio by the Austrian composer Johann Nepomuk Hummel. These three fabulous musicians all perform in the Detroit Opera Orchestra and with many other major ensembles in the area.
