LAFCU Write to Educate Essay Contest

LAFCU is now accepting entries for its 2026 Write to Educate Essay Contest, offering Michigan high school seniors a chance to earn college scholarships while giving back to their communities. The contest will award $20,000 in scholarships, with four students each receiving $5,000 to attend a Michigan college or university. In addition, LAFCU will donate $500 to a Michigan nonprofit chosen by each winner, totaling $2,000 in charitable giving. There is no minimum GPA, no financial-need requirement and no LAFCU membership required. Students must submit a one-page essay addressing a community issue and proposing a solution by March 31, 2026.
