Terri Lyne Carrington Celebrates Great Jazz Women of Detroit: Betty Carter, Alice Coltrane, Dorothy Ashby

The Carr Center Presents … "Great Jazz Women of Detroit : Betty Carter, Alice Coltrane, Dorothy Ashby and others," with musical direction by NEA Jazz Master, Terri Lyne Carrington, will take place on April 9th, 7:30 pm EST LIVE In-Person in the Ford Theater @Detroit School of Arts and also available Livestream. Detroit has always played an essential role in the development of Jazz, especially driven by contributions of these three African American women whose jazz prowess and prodigious talents left indelible marks on the genre. NEA Jazz Master drummer and Artistic Director Terri Lyne Carrington leads an all-star ensemble.
