The Abbey Lincoln Tribute ft. Sky Covington ( Hug Detroit Community Collection Coat & Blanket Benefit Concert )

The Preservation of Jazz presents a powerful Tribute to Abbey Lincoln on Monday, December 8 at Aretha’s Jazz Café. Detroit vocalist Sky Covington performs an intimate, full-length concert honoring Lincoln’s fearless artistry, poetic songwriting, and civil-rights legacy. Known for her emotional depth and warm tone, Covington brings new life to Lincoln’s most iconic works in an elegant evening of jazz and storytelling. Tickets are $35. Doors open at 6 p.m., show at 7:30 p.m. A portion of proceeds will help purchase coats and blankets for Detroit children this winter. Tax-deductible donations welcome.
